Anchorage Maiden Island (Long Island, Saint George Parish)

Things to do in Saint George Parish

A Caribbean paradise and one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the Antilles. Located on the island of Antigua, it possesses hundreds of beaches, from the most pristine and quiet to the most alive and bustling ones. Antigua is the largest island of the Barlavento islands, and also the most populated. Around it we find other small rocky islands between some larger ones, such as Guyana or Green Island, which makes this a very attractive destination for navigation whether sailing or by motorboats.

Its turquoise waters are surrounded by ravines, bays and coves, making it ideal for anchoring and mooring in one of the marinas offered, all of them equipped with the finest amenities and with shops not far away. Lovers of water sports can enjoy coral caves and artificial reefs with sunken wrecks, for example, at Stoney Ground Marine Park, where divers share the stage with a Spanish galleon from the 18th Century. And for those who want to continue the journey, it is possible to proceed to the island of Barbuda, considered the last Caribbean oasis, which, thanks to the limited urban impact, has remained close to a true heaven for the captain and the navigator.
