Things to do in Misiones Province
The fluvial geography of this province makes it a privileged place for lovers of sailing and related sports. One of many wonders is Salto San Martin in the stunning Iguazu National Park, where you can intimately connect with nature, merge with the jungle and enjoy the rapids and waterfalls while your boat is resting comfortably moored in Club Náutico Posadas or in some other marina in the area.
The tributaries of the Parana and the Uruguay are ideal for some of the more traditional water sports in the area, like canoeing or kayaking. As the resort is very much oriented towards those activities, many organizations and institutions dedicated to leisure and sailing have emerged, such as Club de Pesca and Nautical Pirá Pyta or Yacht Club Posadas.
Some of these tributaries and streams are introduced through the remotest places of the forest, with a wonderful option to charter a boat of shallow draft and navigate them to discover the most beautiful spots, hidden in Misiones. In November, the national park organizes environmental education activities while touring the Iguazu River. In the cultural area, you can enjoy the splendid Jesuit Reductions, consisting of old missions villages, and now considered World Heritage Cites by UNESCO.
