Harbour Island Club & Marina (Dunmore Town, Harbour Island District)

Things to do in Harbour Island District

Fabulous Harbour Island in the Bahamas, is an ideal place to continue the nautical route from Eleuthera, with its only city Dunmore Town and excellent pink sand beaches, which are found all along the east side of the island. When it comes to localizing, it is important to know that it belongs to the Out Islands of Bahamas, and that it is known by locals as Briland. The buildings maintained pastel white picket fences, typical British tones of the eighteenth century, so it is considered one of the places in the Bahamas that has maintained its essence. In the interior of the island cars are not permitted (not the case for golf carts) so the best way to get around is by boat, from cove to cove, or between nearby islands. The easiest way to reach the island is from Eleuthera, although mooring firstly in one the 30 marinas of the Bahamas is also a good option.

The island is also known for its Caribbean atmosphere, rich pre-Columbian history and stories of buccaneers. Its crystal clear waters are ideal for water activities like diving or fishing. Interestingly, this island also has a great gastronomic fame, having some of the best restaurants in the Bahamas, with picturesque terraces offering unsurpassed views while you’re enjoying everything from international cuisine to local food.
