Idyllically situated in the Mediterranean Sea, with mountains located a short distance from the coast, the place has virtually unlimited entertainment possibilities. It enjoys a mild climate throughout the north coast, with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius, rainfall in spring and autumn (beware the “cold drop”), and a more continental climate in the rest of the locality, with colder winters and warmer summers (up to 40 degrees Celsius). Island Tabarca is of special interest to the navigator, just 2.35 nautical miles from Santa Pola, with its beautiful fishing ports, and it is just recently opened to tourism. It has the first marine reserve in Spain; a refuge for flora and fauna that has become a paradise for divers. If your boat is shallow draft, you can also access the cave Llop Marí, about 100 meters long, or even the Columbretes Islands Nature Reserve. There is much to choose from. The Valencian Community has 22 national parks and protected areas.

Along the coast you will find more than 40 marinas and ports where you can moor your boat and do all kinds of water activities, from sports to sailing. Its facilities are among the best in Europe, to the point of being a host of internationally recognized America`s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race.

The beaches are another major attraction of the Valencian coast, with variety of styles and sand such as the rustic cove in Les Urques or beach Racó, the latter with defined areas for sports and playgrounds.
