Close to the old city is Menton Vieux Port, named like this due to the Basilica St. Michael the Archangel, in France. With 590 berths for boats up to 25 meters in length, this port is an historical place in Menton life, where fishermen still bring fresh fish to the delight of the local market and nearby restaurants. In this port where both fishing and sailboats coexists, boaters have access to several basic services such as water, electricity, weather information and dress rooms, among others. It also has facilities to perform technical tasks such as travel lift up to 100 tons, 2 tons crane, dock, hull cleaning, garage and varied technical services. Right next to the marina is the main beach where tourists and boaters can afford to rest after a sailing day.
